Conventional 360° prism Tracking loss may occur when prism elements are hidden depending on the angle. KIRA640 Prism elements on the top surface significantly reduce the risk of tracking loss. In machine guidance excavation using a total station, laser signals may be blocked by machine movement, trucks, or site personnel. Installing the total station at an elevated position helps reduce this risk, but with conventional 360° prisms, steep laser incidence angles can lower reflectivity and interrupt tracking.
